During this Sunday a passenger of the cruise ship “Viking Sun” of the Norwegian flag, was assisted by the Maritime Governorship of Talcahuano . The tourist suffered an accident aboard the foreign ship, while it was near Santa María Island, in Coronel .

The rescue operation was carried out by 11 sailors from the Second Naval Zone, aboard the General Service Boat (LSG) “Talcahuano” . Those who operated despite the complicated weather conditions, following the strong wind present in the bay.

The woman identified as Sheila Eaton , 66, He suffered a blow and a head injury on board the tourist ship. Despite being attended in the first instance by ship’s paramedics, it was necessary to request specialized attention from the Navy.
