A wedding couple in India tried to recreate a classic scene from Titanic in a photo shoot a few days before their wedding, but sadly, they ended up dying.
No one can deny that one of the great romantic movies is Titanic, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
This romance, that never left us clusters of the most iconic love scenes in cinema: the dance in third class, when Jack draws a portrait of Rose and of course the scene of both on the bow of the ship.
As it goes, it was precisely the latter that a wedding couple in India tried to recreate in a photo shoot a few days before their wedding.
Unfortunately, in the attempt both lost their lives.
They passed away days before their wedding
Chandru, 28, and Shashikala, 20, both from Mysuru, India, had everything prepared and ready to get married on November 22, 2020, according to information from the India Times.
The couple were travelling aboard a small canoe on the Kaveri (or Cauvery) River, where they were conducting a photoshoot for the day of the ceremony.
It was then that Chandru and Shashikala tried to imitate the moment when Jack holds Rose on the bow of the ship while she tells him “I’m flying”.
However, right after the photo, she lost her balance and both fell into the river, where they were carried away by the rough current, without their relatives being able to do anything to help nor save them.
The couple drowned, the only survivor was the man who was rowing the canoe, who managed to swim to the river bank.
