The reptile, the largest captured in the area in recent years, has been taken to a crocodile farm where it will be used as a stud.
Rangers captured in a natural park located in the Northern Territory of Australia a monstrously large crocodile that roamed an area frequented by tourists, reports the ABC channel.
The events occurred on August 28 in the Flora River Natural Park. The captured saltwater crocodile is 4.4 meters long and weighs 350 kilos.
The local forestry agents indicated that it is the largest specimen caught in the river that runs through the park in at least 5 years. “Tourists walk to the river in the area where we found the crocodile,” said a staff member who oversees the area.
“With the warming climate, crocodiles are becoming active,” he explained. “I wouldn’t want to meet him when I go fishing,” he added. The reptile has been taken to a crocodile farm where it will be used as a stud.
