Navy United States sent a warship to the Taiwan Strait separating Taiwan from China on Wednesday, Reuters reported, hours after China warned it had not ruled out the use of force to reunify the island nation to the mainland.

The Chinese authorities warned that they are prepared for war if there is any movement towards the independence of Taiwan, which they consider to be another province. Thus, he accused Washington of undermining global stability and also blasting uprisings in Hong Kong .

Taiwan is one of the many critical points in the relationship between the United States and China, and this incident occurs when US and Chinese officials must restart trade talks. The US State Department notified Congress this month that it approved a US $2.2 billion arms sale to Taiwan, considered by China as a dissident province.

Meanwhile, the US Navy ships are shipped to the Taiwan Strait several times in recent months. China warned against foreign interference in the region in a white defense paper on Wednesday.

The United States Trade Representative, Robert Lighthizer, and the Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, will travel to China next Monday for the first high-level negotiations between US and Chinese officials since the talks stalled in May.

The Taiwan Government said today, after the guided missile cruiser USS Antietam had sailed across the Strait, that the US Navy is free to take such action.
