The Boat Loaded with Cocaine that Arrived in New York Did Not Set Sail from Colombia

This Tuesday, new details of the route taken by the drug shipment, hidden in a container that supposedly carried nuts, were known.

What has been fully confirmed is that the ship, which was carrying more than a ton and a half of cocaine, never left the port of Buenaventura , as US anti-drug sources initially reported.

The US authorities clarified that the vessel with the narcotic drug sailed from Chile, passed through Peru, then crossed the Panama Canal and finally arrived in New York. As confirmed, the final destination would be the Dutch port of Rotterdam.
