The two-meter prehistoric animal was caught in an Oklahoma lake.
A huge catán fish, also known as crocodile fish (‘Atractosteus espatula’), was captured this weekend on Lake Texoma in the state of Oklahoma (USA).
According to the conservation group Oklahoma Game Wardens, the weight of the pigeon lizard – fish with arrow and bow – was registered in approximately 77 kilos , and its length in 2.1 meters .
The catán fish is considered one of the largest freshwater fish in existence. The origin of this animal goes back to the Cretaceous period, more than 100 million years ago.
