On March 28, 2019 in Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, scuba diver literally risks his life to capture an amazing school of hammerhead sharks. Darwin is one of the most popular dive sites in the world, and on this day they weren’t expecting to have such a good diving session. The weather and water visibility was superb, making it perfect to capture anything interesting they would spot.
The hammer head shark population is decreasing due to the fact that they are being killed and sold for their fins. This makes it very hard to spot giant schools of them like we witness in this video. An amazing clip indeed, showing us how amazing and large a school of sharks is. As well, the risk the camera man is putting into capturing this scene is immense
The local dive masters said this dive at Darwin was the best they have seen in their 10 years of diving Darwin!
