Russia Conducts Command and Personnel Exercises in the Occupied Crimea.

Russia is conducting command and personnel exercises of units of the Black Sea Fleet in the occupied Crimea, he Russian Ministry of Defence reports.

“Today, in accordance with a plan previously approved in the Black Sea Fleet, joint training of command and personnel began,” the Russian Ministry said in a statement.

In the course of the exercises, “actions are developed to control the forces of the fleet while taking them to a higher level of readiness and organizing interaction between formations and military units as part of a grouping of various divisions of troops deployed on the Crimean peninsula.

Command and personnel exercises involve naval command and control bodies, naval bases in Novorosíisk and the occupied Crimea, major naval and coastal units, as well as parts of the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet.
