Rescuers Create A Human Chain To Rescue Pod Of Dolphins Trapped In A Canal In Florida (VIDEO)

A group of volunteers from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium formed a human chain on Wednesday to help four dolphins leave a canal in Florida (USA).

With their bodies they created a visual barrier for cetaceans to be encouraged to cross bridges that are believed to be perceived by animals as obstacles. Four dolphins, two adults and two babies, were spotted swimming around the area of the canal for a few days before a team of volunteers got together to help guide them away from the canal into safer waters.

The rescue was carried out successfully under the supervision of specialists in marine mammal protection.
