A video of the flight of a meteorite exploded over the Bering Sea off Kamchatka in December appeared on the Web.

The record shows how after the fall of a celestial body above the surface of the water a smoke trail remains. On the approximate frames shows the very moment of the explosion.

The incident was recorded by US military satellites at an altitude of 25.6 kilometers above the Earth’s surface. The power of the explosion was ten times stronger than that of the atomic bomb dropped by the US Air Force on Hiroshima in 1945.

According to NASA employee Lindley Johnson, the celestial body exploded near the route line used by civil aircraft.
