Peruvian Navy Presented Video Of The Intervention Of The Submarine Carrying Two Tons Of Cocaine

The Peruvian Navy broadcast a video of the moment where a narcosubmarine was intervened on the coast of Talara (Piura), which carried two tons of cocaine inside. It should be noted that this ship was intervened at 178 nautical miles from the coast on December 7 at approximately 1:30 p.m., after the interdiction operation with the BAP Maritime Patrol Boat Río Piura was activated.

In the images you can see a wide takeoff of the members of the BAP Rio Piura Marine Patrol to intervene the ship and capture four foreigners. 

It is important to mention that during the operation, the Coast Guard personnel carried out the intervention of four crew members aboard that ship, a Mexican citizen, one Ecuadorian and two Colombians, who were transporting this probable cocaine alkaloid bound for the North.

The Navy reported that the ship was made of fiberglass material (similar to a submersible), 15 meters long, 2.3 meters wide, approximately 2 meters high. He also said that this is the first time that this type of ship stops with this cargo in our country.

As seen in the video, Navy personnel enter the ship and manage to extract the drug that was in sacks.

The BAP Río Piura Maritime Patrol (PM-206) arrived in Paita, towing the semi-submersible ship, which was transporting approximately 2000 kilograms of probable illegal substances, after an intense and successful follow-up work carried out by the Peruvian Navy that managed to capture of said unit.

Upon arrival, the persons involved and the suspicious cargo will be handed over to the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes of Illicit Drug Trafficking, who will be responsible for conducting the law investigations.

This interdiction was carried out thanks to the coordinated work that is done permanently in demand to identify threats and illicit in the area of ​​the Mar de Grau, which allowed, that on December 6, the Maritime Authority will begin this operation successfully.
