Gratitude is not only a human thing and for two good friends there is no distance and sometimes the animals have more of these kind gestures than humans.
Proof of this is the story of this penguin who, after being rescued by João Pereira de Souza in Brazil, has returned year after year to visit him from Argentina.
The 71-year-old builder found him covered in oil, cleaned and cared for him until he recovered, named him Dindim and took too much of him. Since then, the penguin travels about 8,000 kilometers every year to reunite with his friend.
“I love the penguin as if it were my own son and I think he loves me,” De Souza told Globo TV. “Nobody else is allowed to touch him,” says Pereira.
