The 24-year-old boy confessed that he was transporting the drug to a Peruvian and was arrested by the PF for international drug trafficking.
A 24-year-old man was arrested by the Federal Police (PF) for drug trafficking in Tabatinga on Tuesday (19), in a boat that left from Benjamin Constant to Manaus. The young man whose identity was not revealed by PF had been responsible for 1.2 kg of cocaine that was hidden in a packet of diapers found inside one of the bathrooms of the vessel.
The arrest happened during routine inspection work on the vessels that circulate in the region of the triple border, especially in the Solimões River.
The prisoner, who is a native of São Paulo de Olivença, was taken to the Federal Police Station in Tabatinga and presented to the competent Federal Police Delegate, where he confessed to the offending practice and stated that he was transporting the drug to the service of a Peruvian man, not yet identified, in exchange for part of the merchandise.
The police authority ratified the arrest and established a Police Inquiry through an arrest warrant in the guilty party that was indicted for practicing, in theory, a crime of international drug trafficking.
