A new death by the attack of a shark is reported again from the shores of the Bahamas, near Rose Island.
Jordan Lindsey, 21, from California, was near Rose Island, east of the capital Nassau, Bahamas, when the accident occurred on Wednesday, said Paul Rolle, deputy commissioner of the Police, to WLPG, associated with CNN. A spokesman for the State Department confirmed the death in dialogue with ABC News.
Lindsey was attacked by a shark while swimming in the ocean. The girl was taken to the coast and taken to the hospital, but died on arrival, Rolle said.
It was not clear what species of these marine creatures had caused the wounds that caused her death.
“Jordan had the most beautiful and kind soul, she will be deeply missed,” her family said on a GoFundMe page created to raise money to take her body to California and pay for funeral expenses.
The Ministry of Tourism of the Bahamas expressed its “most sincere condolences to the family and the loved ones of the victim”, in a statement released by WLPG
