A dozen tourists who were on a beach in Redington ( Florida, United States) helped rescue five whales that were stranded on Monday. According to local media reports, cetaceans spent about seven hours under tents installed in the sea to protect them from the sun’s rays, while the vacationers tried to calm them down. Three of them were loaded into boats to be returned to the Gulf of Mexico and the other two were transported by truck for treatment at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium facilities.
