Police fulfilled three search and seizure warrants on Monday (22) in Paranaguá and São José dos Pinhais; seizure on Saturday (20) led to the outbreak of Operation Follow-up.
Federal Police (PF) seized 734 kg of cocaine on Monday afternoon (22) in a house in Paranguá, on the coast of Paraná. According to police, the address is related to one of three prisoners on Saturday (20) in the seizure of 3.3 tons of the drug Guaratuba, also on the coast.
Three search and seizure warrants were fulfilled on Monday by the PF, in the outbreak of Operation Follow-up. In addition to the house, police were targeted at a shed in Paranaguá and another residence in São José dos Pinhais, in the Curitiba Metropolitan Region.
PF also claims to have seized a luxury watch, a truck, two pickup trucks, truck track blockers and drug packing material.
The warrants were issued by the 14th Federal Court of Curitiba.
Seizure in marina disabled
On Saturday, the Military Police (PM) Special Police Operations Battalion (Bope) made the largest seizure of cocaine in Paraná’s history at a deactivated marina in Guaratuba. Police went to the scene to try to find possible suspects in a bank robbery.
According to police, the drug was in 46 bags. The police found the first amount of the drug, about 300 kg, in a backyard – while being loaded on a boat.
In the ceiling of the property they found another 3 tons of cocaine. The place was also being furnished by traffickers. Three people were arrested in the act.
