Creepy images began to circulate on social networks this week of a terrifying sea monster swimming near a large hydroelectric dam in eastern China.
Residents who live next to the huge Three Gorges Dam, located in Eastern China, were taken aback when they saw a black animal sliding on the surface of the water.
According to the portals The AIO Enterteinment and Mirror Uk, the terrifying sea monster is about 20 meters long and moves like a water snake just a few meters from the riverbank. Other locals said they saw the same creature on the Yangtze River in Yichang, in the central province of Hubei, on Sunday.
Remember that there are thousands of legends about mysterious creatures of gigantic dimensions that move in the water like the supposed Kraken, a huge squid willing to eat whole crews.
There is also another story about the Loch Ness monster, a kind of ‘aquatic dinosaur’ that occasionally emerges on the surface, letting itself be photographed by clueless tourists who do not expect its presence.
Professor Wang Chunfang of the Huazhong Agricultural University explained in an interview with the Pear Video portal that it could be a water snake:
“Definitely not a water monster. Its size is because it is a marine animal that has been living underwater for years and that is why it has developed that amazing length. I can’t say exactly what it is, since it only came up a bit, but it moves like a snake. It looks like some kind of reptile, and most likely it is a water snake.”
Despite Chunfang’s scientific explanation, thousands of users continued to theorize about the creature’s identity and compared it to the Anaconda movie ; However, not all Internet users agreed and claimed that it was an unknown monster:
“That seems like an anaconda to me,” “An anaconda shouldn’t walk near a dam,” “I think it’s more of a monster that escaped Atlantis.”
What do you think?
