A luxurious 86-meter-long yacht owned by Pakistani billionaire Alshair Fiyaz crashed into a control cabin on a bridge on a Caribbean island. The accident was recorded by multiple witnesses and the videos soon went viral on the networks.

The Ecstasea vessel was entering the Simpson Bay Lagoon, on the island of San Martín, on December 15 when, possibly due to difficult weather conditions, it lost control and one of its observation platforms, which was half open, He crashed into the control booth, going through it and throwing his remains into the water .

Fortunately,  no one was injured during the impact, as the operator noticed the danger in time and was able to leave the cabin before it was destroyed. It was also reported that controls were not affected and the bridge remains fully functional. As regards the vessel, it suffered only minor damage, says Boat International.

After the incident, the port staff carried out an evaluation of the site, and the local coast guard and the police will write a report to offer greater clarity about the situation.

The Ecstasea was built in 2004 by Feadship, a collaboration between two Dutch shipyards specializing in luxury custom yachts. It measures 86 meters in length and reaches a maximum speed of more than 30 knots. It was acquired by Fiyaz in 2009 and its estimated cost is $ 120 million.
