The note travelled a distance of more than 2,600 kilometers across the Atlantic Ocean, between New Jersey and Newfoundland.
An American has received a response to a message that six weeks earlier she had thrown into a bottle into the Atlantic Ocean. According to the North Jersey Media Group, it travelled a distance of more than 2,600 kilometers from the shores of the state of New Jersey (USA) to the island of Newfoundland (Canada).
Holly Romanek and her mother Lali wrote the note, put it in an empty frappuccino bottle and threw it into the water from Sandy Hook Beach.
“This bottle was thrown into the Atlantic Ocean from Sandy Hook, New Jersey. If you find it, we hope you are having a good day. If you wish, send me an email,” the message says. “Released to the ocean on May 19, 2019. I hope this makes you happy!” The Americans wrote along with a happy face.
Surprisingly, the answer was swift. Several weeks later, the women received an email from a Canadian man who found the bottle on July 31 at a beach in the city of Flatrock, Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
