This is a terrible moment when the surfer Marcelo Luna is beaten by a massive wave after he could not get on a water jet ski with his teammate.
Drone videos show that Luna successfully rolls on a huge wave during a large swelling from Praia do Norte in Nazaré, Portugal.
After the trick of the surfer, his teammate appears on the jet ski to safely get Luna to shore. Nevertheless, Marcelo cannot get on the hydro cycle and is covered by a huge wave.
Praia do Norte, the beach from which both surf, is known for its powerful and dangerous waves and attracts surfers from all over the world.
In 2011, the Hawaiian surfer Garrett McNamara set a world record for the biggest wave ever surfed, at 24 m (78 ft).
