WHY DID THE RUSSIAN SHIPS FROM TARTUS LEAVE?

THE RUSSIAN NAVY FLEET BEGINS LIVE LAUNCH EXERCISES OFF THE SYRIAN COAST IN THE MIDST OF THE PLANNED ATTACKS BY THE UNITED STATES

The Russian military exercises, including the launching of missiles, will take place from April 11 to April 26 in Nicosia, in the eastern Mediterranean.

A similar warning was issued earlier by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which recommended that all aircraft monitor their flights in the eastern Mediterranean region in the next 72 hours. The warning appeared due to possible air strikes in Syria with cruise missiles or air-to-surface missiles.

Meanwhile, the United States Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, known as “underwater killer”, was observed flying to southern Cyprus, probably departing from the Sigonella Naval Air Station in Italy, and headed towards the east, towards Syria.

According to satellite images, eleven Russian battleships have already left the port of Tartus for the exercise.

The Russian military exercises off the coast of Syria are another sign of the escalating climbing scenario in the region. Some media activists have already described the exercises as a response to President Trump’s threats.
