Three fisherman are lucky to be alive after their boat was hit by another speedboat near the mouth of the Columbia River in Oregon last summer. Some scary video of the incident is making the rounds on the internet this week after being published by the Salmon Trout Steelheader facebook page and picked up by the Oregonian.
As it turns out, the owner of the fishing boat (still alive, mind you) is now suing the owner of the speedboat for over $372,000 in damages, according to Oregonian.
According to the Oregonian report, the boat driver said he couldn’t see over the bow because he was sitting down at the time of collision. The driver has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor crimes of reckless operation of a boat, fourth-degree assault and recklessly endangering the lives of others, the report says.
