Trump Applauds Thai Marina for “Successful” Rescue of Children and Coach

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, today applauded the work of the Thai Navy for carrying out a “successful” rescue of the twelve children and their soccer coach who were trapped in a cave in northern Thailand since last June 23.

“On behalf of the United States, congratulations to the Elite Unit of the Thai Navy and all for the successful rescue of the twelve children and their trainer from the treacherous cave of Thailand, such a beautiful moment, all released, great work!” , Trump said in his account of the social network Twitter.

The president made this reflection shortly after it became official that the rescue teams had today completed the rescue mission of the twelve children and one adult trapped in a cave in Thailand since June 23 and who remained nine days missing and without foods.

The last to leave today were the coach and one of the students, from the group of five who were evacuated throughout this day.

On June 23, when they were trapped in the grotto, the group decided to visit the interior of the cave after completing a football training.

A sudden storm caused the flood of the waters and flooded part of the tunnels in the way of exit, isolating to the group in a cavity of which they were not located until nine days later to begin the search.

On Sunday, six days after finding the children, the authorities started the rescue operation, which ended successfully today.
