This Is The Spectacular Museum of Soviet Statues Under the Waters of the Black Sea in Crimea

The images show an unusual underwater museum located on the coast of the Tarkhankut National Park in Crimea. The unique museum is at a depth of about ten to twelve meters.

The underwater museum has around 50 sculptures and busts of former Soviet leaders, including Lenin, Stalin and Marx, as well as replicas of some of the world’s great tourist attractions.

A local submariner placed the first monuments in 1992 when the USSR fell and began to dismantle the monuments of the communist leaders. This is how the idea of creating an underwater museum came about.
