Rescues have taken place in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea, where up to twelve boats and a jet ski with migrants have been detected on board.
Salvamento Marítimo has reported the rescue of five corpses and 501 migrants, in more than 12 boats and a jet ski, this Wednesday in the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea.
According to sources of Maritime Rescue, in the last operation in the Alboran Sea, the Guardamar Polimnia has recovered 50 men from a semi-sunken vessel.
The Polimnia has also rescued 51 people and five corpses from another semi-sunken boat in the waters of the Alboran Sea, where Salvamento Marítimo had previously removed 89 people from two other submarkets (86) and a jet ski (3).
In parallel, the Almariya ferry has rescued two people outside the boat and the boat Polimnia has done the same with another 51 people who had climbed the raft and five bodies.
On the other hand, Maritime Rescue officers and the Civil Guard have rescued this Wednesday a total of 309 migrants, of which 46 are women, seven children and two babies, of eight boats that sailed in the waters of the Strait.
