Shipping Accident: Tanker Stuck on the Shore

On Tuesday morning on the Elbe near Coswig in the district of Wittenberg, a tanker got stuck on the bank. According to the water police, the steering gear is blocked.

The skipper could therefore no longer maneuver the tanker. The transport ship is loaded with 1,000 tons of urea.

Lucky in misfortune: Cargo has not leaked and a water leak could not be determined on the ship. On Wednesday, the maneuverable tanker ship is partially unloaded towed to a nearby shipyard.
