Ukraine cannot conduct joint exercises with NATO in the Sea of Azov without Russian permission, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the RT France TV channel, as well as the French editions Le Figaro and Paris Match.

“Now Ukraine wants to call the NATO exercises in the Sea of Azov, but there it will be impossible to pass there because our agreement with Ukraine requires mutual consent for the passage of warships into the Sea of Azov. But they want it, and they are actively indulged in this, ”he said.

The minister called the “provocative” actions of the alliance near Russia – military exercises in Ukraine, Georgia, and also in the Black Sea. According to him, NATO is accumulating weapons and developing transport infrastructure in Europe to make it easier for the US Army and its allies’ heavy weapons to get to the Russian border.
