The Federal Government reported that protocols are ready to address any emergency arising from the passage of Hurricane Willa, which will touch land at 7:00 pm with category 3 and 2, in the south of the state of Sinaloa and north of Nayarit.
In a press conference, the National Coordinator of Civil Protection of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), Luis Felipe Puente asked the population to stay at home and avoid going out at night.
He indicated that there are about 200 thousand vulnerable people in both states, 40 thousand of whom were already located in some of the 2 thousand 900 shelters installed.
He clarified that although the hurricane decreased in intensity, he asked the residents not to trust each other, to follow the recommendations issued by the civil protection authorities and indicated that there are 45,700 public servants in support of the population.
