A few weeks ago we showed a collection of monuments submerged under the sea. Today we are showing them again, but only focusing on those found in the national territory.
Specifically, today we show you some of the photographs of the Atlantic Museum, one of the most amazing tourist attractions in Lanzarote and the first submarine museum in Europe.
Submerged 12 meters deep, near the south coast of the island, in the Bay of Las Coloradas, there are 12 facilities that make up the museum’s route, whose dual function is to raise awareness of the importance of conserving the oceans and create a habitat that favours the reproduction of the autochthonous animal and vegetal species.
All the statues belong to the British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor.
