Coast Guard Looking for Kayakist Lost on Costa Risa’s Beach

The National Coast Guard Service continues with the operation to find a kayaker who was dragged by the tide in front of Playa Bejuco in Guanacaste.

The events occurred after noon on Wednesday, when the man, apparently surnamed Fishman, climbed into a kayak and went into the sea.

Minutes later, the sport canoe returned to shore, manipulated by the tide, but without the man.

According to the press office of the Ministry of Public Security (MSP), it is the staff of the Puerto Coyote station who is in charge of the search.

”¬†As soon as there was a tide at 3 pm, a group of officers from the Coast Guard Station of Puerto Coyote managed to sail, as the station is on the edge of a stream, they made a search quadrant and have already patrolled from Playa San Miguel, Costa de Oro beach and until Playa Bejuco looking for the disappeared and still can not find it, “they detailed.

The water accident was not reported by the Costa Rican Red Cross or the Costa Rican Fire Department.

It is believed that the man surnamed Fishman would have left a restaurant known as Locos Cocos before the terrible situation.
