A Resident of Vladivostok Paid 75.4 Million Rubles of Customs Payments for the Importation of an Expensive Yacht

The investigation continues to investigate the case in Vladivostok against owners of a yacht worth about 300 million rubles, who did not pay customs fees, the accused reimbursed unpaid 75.4 million rubles.

The defendants fully paid customs duties in the amount of about 75.4 million rubles, the Far Eastern investigation on the transport of the TFR reports.

The investigation of the criminal case continues, the investigating authorities determine the circumstances of the commission of the crime.

As reported, a resident of Vladivostok bought overseas yacht worth 286.4 million rubles and developed a scheme for evading payments.

The owner of the yacht assigned to the Marshall Islands was a Vietnamese citizen, so within a year, he was exempt from customs payments. At the same time, the actual owner was a resident of Vladivostok, who used it for personal purposes and rented it. The amount of evasion from payment of customs payments amounted to 75.4 million rubles.

The criminal case against citizens of Russia and Vietnam was initiated under part 2 of Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (evasion from payment of customs payments in an especially large amount by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
