The Dominican authorities located 28 packages of cocaine in the port of Haina, on a ship that arrived from South America, without any reported detainees.
The operation was carried out by the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) under the coordination of the Public Ministry and with the support of other security agencies.
The National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) determined that the confiscated substance is cocaine and had a weight of 28.94 kilograms.
The authorities extend the investigation process in relation to the present case to arrest and bring to justice those involved.
