Saudi Aramco awarded with EPCI contract L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering

Safaniya Oil Field EPCI contractSaudi Aramco awarded by Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract the L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in consortium with EMAS Chiyoda Subsea. The agreement scope includes supplying and installation of four wellhead decks in the Safaniya Oil Field in Percian Gulf, as well as upgrade of seventeen platforms in various offshore fields in the Arabian Sea in the continental shelf of Saudi Arabia. The finance details and deadline of the agreement were not disclosed, but L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering will enjoy second billion-dollar contract by Saudi Aramco in 6 months, after in July received EPCI works at Hasbah Offshore Gas field.

“We are delighted with the new awards. It is an opportunity for Aramco to benefit from our flagship facility at Hazira as the center of fabrication of the four decks in one of the contracts. It is also an opportunity for our consortium to build in-Kingdom skills and capabilities to deliver the brownfield work in the other project”, said the CEO of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, Subramanian Sarma. “Hasbah Offshore Gas Increment Project, which is a part of the Fadhili Gas Plant is progressing well and in accordance with the plan. The consortium with our strong teams – delivering excellence in execution and bespoke EPCI services with the state-of-the-art facilities, are committed to a long term participation in Artco’s projects”, added he.
