Eight of the 11 people who were on board the US Navy aircraft crashed in the Philippine Sea south-east of the Japanese island of Okinawa, were found, the Associated Press reported citing the Japanese Defense Ministry.
However, it is noted that there is no information on whether these eight people are alive.
According to Japanese Defense Minister Itunori Onodar, the cause of the crash of the C-2 Greyhound carrier transport aircraft could be a problem with the engine.
The plane was headed for the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan, which is now in the area.
