Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for an alleged sexual assault– They were called to investigate the reported assault on the cruise ship docked in Port Chalmers which occurred earlier that morning.

“The unfortunate reality is that cruise ship rape and sexual assault are the two most commonly reported crimes at sea. Equally as disheartening is the fact that far too many victims do not know that the perpetrator of the crime can and should be prosecuted.” ~
