Kramer Group and the Port of Rotterdam Authority signed an agreement to establish a service center for refrigerated containers in the former City Terminal near Eemhaven. The subsidiaries of Kramer Group – Seamark Reefer Service and AM-Solution – will provide services repair, cleaning, storage, inspection and maintenance of refrigerated containers at the new facility. In addition, the platform will be used as a company’s terminal service for the delivery of loaded reefer containers between Eemhaven and the new deepwater port of Rotterdam – Maasvlakte. A business site of 5.5 hectares and a quay wall of almost 200 m in length will be available to Kramer Group. For this purpose, the Port of Rotterdam Authority will have a quay for inland shipping vessels built at the site.
As a result of this partnership, Kramer Group will discontinue its activities at the old Reeweg and Eemhavenweg locations.
Rotterdam Port Authority intends to turn the territory of the former City Terminal in the compact multi-modal hub, serving the feeder, river, rail and road transport, after the transfer of operations in ECT Maasvlakte.
