This is the moment a fishing boat, registered to Penzance, crashed onto rocks in Plymouth.
Coastguard rescuers and the Plymouth lifeboat were called, after the vessel got wedged at Mount Batten pier.
Pirate FM understands no-one was hurt and it managed to refloat at high tide.
John Baldry from Ultimate Shot Photography captured these pictures on Saturday night.
Posting on Facebook, he said: “A Plymouth fishing boat, the Algrie, crashed in to Mount Batten Pier on Saturday night, getting stuck on the rocks.
“Plymouth RNLI life boat, HM Coastguard and the police attended on the pier but little could be done.
“Now stranded on the rocks – the only thing to do is wait for the tide to come back in.
“Hope all is well and safe and well done to all attending to assist”.
On Sunday morning, a spokesperson from HM Coastguard Mountbatten – Plymouth team posted: “Interesting shout at 10pm on Saturday 7th October.
“When the pagers go off you just never know what the incident will be. Boat refloated on the next early morning tide”.
