Fire quickly Extinguished At Hurtigruta, From Nordnorge Vessel

NordNorge - IMO 9107784The fire department quickly got control of the fire in the engine room this Thursday, this happened to the vessel Nordnorge, the ship was docked in Trondheim.

– There have been smoke in the engine room while the ship was docked in Trondheim. The fire was quickly extinguished, and police confirmed that no one is injured. Three of the crew will be checked by a health professional after getting in a little smoke, says communications manager Rune Thomas Ege Hurtigruten.

There were 367 guests and a crew of 69 on board the ship.

– Many of the guests were on the land when the smoke development began, and there was no need to evacuate either guests or crew, says Ege.

– We are working to get an overview of the details and take care of the guests and crew on board, says Ege.

Police reported the case at 11:07 Thursday morning.
