The Israeli container shipping operator ZIM launched new express Asia-Pacific North West service available since October 25, which will call at Xingang and offer fastest eastbound leg available from Xingang, Qingdao and Shanghai. The new service is named China Express Northwest service (CEN) and will join to the ZIM’s existing Asia-Pacific North West trade services. At the weekly loop will be deployed six container carriers, each with capacity around 9,000 TEU. The new service will decrease significantly the transit time between Chinese ports and North West American ports, providing higher flexibility for traders and shippers.
China Express Northwest service loop will call at the ports: Xingang (China) – Qingdao (China) – Shanghai (China) – Prince Rupert (Canada) – Los Angeles (USA) – Oakland (USA) – Xingang (China).
“ZIM is proud to add Prince Rupert to its portfolio of services in the Pacific North West. We continue to develop, improve and respond to customer needs on this strategic trade”, said the Vice President of Trans Pacific Trade for ZIM, Nissim Yochai.
