Tallink Grupp renovate the passenger ferry Silja Europa worth 16 million EUR. The company will refurbish the 1,016 standard class cabins and suites and public areas. The renovation is expected to complete until beginning of December and Silja Europa is schedule to return in service on Tallinn-Helsinki on December 12. The extensive renovation works will cover most of the cabins, five restaurants and bars, as well as conference room. One of the most voluminous and expensive works will be update of 1,016 cabins, with renewal subject to a standard class cabins and suites.
The passenger ferry Silja Europa will return on the line Tallinn-Helsinki on December 12 with daily departure from Tallinn at 12:30 and from Helsinki at 18:30. On this line Tallink annually serves about five million passengers.
The passenger ferry Silja Europa (IMO: 8919805) has overall length of 202.00 m, moulded beam of 32.00 m and maximum draft of 7.00 m. The deadweight of the vessel is 4,650 DWT and the gross tonnage is 59,912 GRT. The vessel was built in 1999 by Meyer Neptun Papenburg shipyard in Germany.
