The fishing boat Fresh Shuttle, which went missing on June 20 in the area of Kuril Islands, was found by Japan Coast Guard earlier today. The vessel disappeared from the AIS and did not arrive to destination at Cape Wooded Valentina in the Lake District on Kunashir Island. The fishing company reported about the accident and local authorities organized search and rescue operation. Rescue ships, helicopters and airplane were searching for the missing people during the whole week, but without a trace. Today morning, the fishing boat Fresh Shuttle was found by Japan Coast Guard with all fishermen in good health and without injuries.
“In the control center for crisis situations, the Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia in the Sakhalin region was received information that the fishing boat Fresh Shuttle, which went missing earlier in the South Kuril area, was found by Japan Coast Guard, said the statement of Main Department of EMERCOM of the Sakhalin region.
Investigation Department of the TFR transport conduct procedural checks on Part 3 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of safety rules and operation of water transport).
The fishing boat Fresh Shuttle (IMO: 8029832) has gross tonnage of 145 GRT.
