The Thailand’s leading offshore drilling services company Mermaid Maritime was awarded by two subsea contracts in Southeast Asia. The total amount of the both agreement is 5.10 million USD, involving the company into survey and inspection services projects in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia and Malaysian territorial waters. The new contracts are important for the finance troubled company and will utilize its vessels into the development of the both projects. The Thailand’s company will provide full turnkey services to oil and gas majors operating offshore, utilizing its dive support vessels and high-experienced stuff.
The first contact is for 30 days and commence in first quarter of 2017. Mermaid Maritime will perform installation activities for an international upstream oil and gas firm in Natuna Sea, employing the dive support vessel Mermaid Nusantara together with heavy duty work-class vehicles.
The second contract involves the provision of survey and inspection services in Malaysian territorial waters at Southeast Asia, employing third party diving vessel for approximately 45 days. The work over the contract starts immediately.
Already, the company received 1 month work extension of major engineering, procurement and construction contract of its diving support vessel Mermaid Endurer, which values to 1.8 million USD.
