Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG reported 7.7% turnover decrease in Q1 2016

HHLA port HamburgHamburger Hafen und Logistik AG reported 7.7% yoy decrease in turnover of its container terminals in the first three months of the year. The total turnover of the terminals operated by the stevedore company amounted to 1.6 million TEU. However, compared with the fourth quarter 2015 the turnover increased by 5.1%. The volume of the three terminals at the Port of Hamburg decreased by 8.2% to 1.5 million TEU, while the container terminal in Port of Odessa grew by 4.8% to 0.067 million TEU. The company revenues for the reported period decreased by 6% to 162.3 million EUR, while EBIT decreased by 14.2% yoy to 27.9 million EUR.

“This indicates that the terminals turnover has reached the lower limit, and the company expects a steady growth in the subsequent quarters of the year”, said the chairman of the Board of Directors of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG, Dieter Peters.

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG reported that shipments of the intermodal carriers holding, including Metrans and Polzug companies, increased by 4.8% yoy to 0.264 million TEU. The revenues of the intermodal carriers holding crew by 1% yoy to 92.6 million EUR.
