Taiwanese ocean carrier Evergreen Line in cooperation with Cosco Shipping launched new Adriatic – Israel service (AIS). The new container shipping service opens up the corridor between Northern Adriatic ports, Piraeus and Israel, providing direct deliveries to the customers. At the loop will be deployed two container ships, each with capacity around 1,000 TEU, which will have 14-days rotation. Each of the both join partners in the operations of Adriatic–Israel service will deploy one of its vessels into the loop. The first shipment of the new loop started in October 4 from Koper, Slovenia.
The rotation of the Adriatic–Israel service is: Koper (Slovenia) – Ravenna (Italy) – Venice (Italy) – Piraeus (Greece) – Haifa (Israel) – Ashdod (Israel) – Koper (Slovenia).
This weekly Adriatic – Israel service provides an efficient link for regional trade and offers more opportunities for customers in the growing area, focusing especially on the time-sensitive reefer cargo. In addition with the new loop, both companies will expand their global service network by improving connectivity via its transhipment hub in Piraeus.
