Bulk carrier Hoanya WisdomThe bulk carrier Hoanya Wisdom lost propulsion power while transiting Bosphorus Strait in southern direction. The vessel suffered mechanical failure in Garipce area, but succeeded to anchor at Buyukdere anchorage without causing accident or hampering traffic. The cargo ship was en route from Constanta, Romania to Tuzla, Turkey under ballast and will resume voyage just after fully repairing of the mechanical problem and safety inspection by the local authorities. Fortunately during the propulsion failure there was no accident and no injured people. It was estimated that ship suffered technical problem with propulsion system and will need several days for repair works.

The local authorities will follow full inspection of the vessel before return in operations. The traffic in Bosphorus Strait was not hampered and continue at normal operation level.

The bulk carrier Hoanya Wisdom (IMO: 9433896) has overall length of 152.00 m, moulded beam of 23.00 m and maximum draft of 8.10 m. The deadweight of the ship is 21,118 DWT and the gross tonnage is 12,665 GRT. The cargo vessel was built in 2008 by Murakami Hide Shipbuilding in Imabari, Japan. The owner and operator of the bulk carrier is Taiwanese company Wisdom Marine Lines.
