The bulk carrier Hoanya Wisdom lost propulsion power while transiting Bosphorus Strait in southern direction. The vessel suffered mechanical failure in Garipce area, but succeeded to anchor at Buyukdere anchorage without causing accident or hampering traffic. The cargo ship was en route from Constanta, Romania to Tuzla, Turkey under ballast and will resume voyage just after fully repairing of the mechanical problem and safety inspection by the local authorities. Fortunately during the propulsion failure there was no accident and no injured people. It was estimated that ship suffered technical problem with propulsion system and will need several days for repair works.
The local authorities will follow full inspection of the vessel before return in operations. The traffic in Bosphorus Strait was not hampered and continue at normal operation level.
