The American oil and gas company Anadarko Petroleum released two new discoveries at Warrior and Phobos wells in the Gulf of Mexico. The company completed drilling in the both wells, but now start the assessment and estimation of the reserves in the both fields, as well as the quality of the raw material. One of the discoveries was at Warrior well, which is operated by Anadarko Petroleum (65%) in partnership with shareholders Ecopetrol (20%) and MCX Exploration (15%), with reserves of 64.00 m of net oil pay in multiple high-quality Miocene-aged reservoirs. The second discovery is at Phobos well, which contains 27.50 m of net high-quality oil pay in Pliocene-aged reservoirs.
Meanwhile, the American oil and gas company Anadarko Petroleum completed the acquisition of Lucius development in Gulf of Mexico by Freeport-McMoran Oil & Gas for 2 billion USD. With the acquisition the Anadarko Petroleum receives 49% from the development.
