Experts attribute this fact to thawing on the earth’s surface and permafrost.
A video shows the surprising landslide in which houses are swallowed by the sea in northern Norway.
The events occurred on Wednesday in the Alta municipality, a situation that has drawn the attention of experts to climate change.
This phenomenon is attributed to the melting of surface snow and also of permafrost, better known as frozen ground.
In recent months, some arctic areas have had abnormally high temperatures, which could have increased the speed of melting ice.
Scientists have verified with different studies how the icy cover of the northern hemisphere is shrinking, although not only in the frozen ground but in the permafrost that disappears at an alarming rate.
