Beyond a small break in the side, the boat was in perfect condition.
An unexpected gift came from a shepherdess from Ulva, UK. Rhoda Munro was sailing to a neighbouring island to search for sheep when she saw a boat run aground and covered in algae, local media reported.
After speaking with the Coast Guard, it emerged that the vessel, valued at £ 50,000 (about $ 62,000), had been lost in a storm while being transported from a shipyard from Denmark to Greenland in April 2019.
The insurance was already paid, so the woman was allowed to keep the boat, which, beyond a small break in one side, was in perfect condition.
Also, the Danish company that made the boat, Poca, promised to give hem the navigation lights, which are worth 700 pounds sterling (about $ 864).
Now Rhoda plans to use it to transport the sheep and why not have a party.
