The United Kingdom Deploys 2,000 Troops and Several Warships in the Baltic Sea

About two thousand troops of the British Armed Forces will approach the Russian borders to carry out a series of multinational military exercises.

Nearly 3,000 troops – sailors and marines from the member states of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) of the United Kingdom – will participate in the ‘Baltic Protector‘ exercises throughout the next month of May. Of these 2,000 uniforms will belong to the British armed forces, as confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom cited by Defense Blog .

In addition to the 3,000 uniformed in the exercises involved about 20 warships, including several ships of the British Royal Navy.

It is reported that simulations of amphibious operations, landing practices and naval maneuvers will also involve the armies of eight countries with access to the Baltic Sea: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
