The exercise will run from this Thursday until April 11.

The frigate “Cristóbal Colón”, which sailed on Tuesday, March 26, from the Ferrol Arsenal, arrived on Thursday at the Scottish port of Glasgow to attend the meetings prior to the multinational exercise “Joint Warrior 191“, organized by the British Navy.

The “Joint Warrior” is a biannual exercise organized by the Navy and the British Air Force, which usually has the participation of numerous land, sea and air units of NATO countries and allies. The exercise will take place in Scottish waters.

After the days of port, where the members of the different endowments of ships, aircrafts and ground units will take advantage of to coordinate the exercises and to foment the camaraderie, the group will go out to sea to begin the training.

Among the participating vessels are the units currently integrated in the Nato Permanent Naval Grouping No. 1 (SNMG-1).

The objective of the “Joint Warrior 191” is to provide the participating units with realistic aerial, submarine and surface threat scenarios, where to carry out advanced collective training that will allow them to work in multinational groups in the future.
